So, the monthly thing appears to be working. I’d like to think I could be more ambitious than this, I mean, Lord knows I waste enough time on other websites, I should be able to throw something down here at least weekly, if not better.
Here is the capsule of where I’ve been, and I’ll elaborate further in the next several days:
I’m the Head Worship-Leader-Pastor-Coordinator-Dude at Compass Church (that’s not an official title). It wasn’t going to go down this way, but things changed quickly and here I am. We opened our doors for weekly services this past weekend. I’ve been working on a couple sites: our main site, and a separate site for the worship ministry. I really like them both. I’m finally feeling like our site takes a front seat in design, even if I had a little help.
I have three children, and they are in full “children” mode, with all the cuteness, bickering, and self-inflicted haircutting that comes with it. I know it’s terrible, and not very manly, but I nearly cried when Zoe came down the stairs with a head of short cropped hair and her beautiful locks in a pile on the upstairs floor. But that’s kids. That’s how they work. At least this time she’s a bit upset about it. Before long she’ll be mangling her appearance just to spite me, I’m sure.
Lots of Gordon Shumway gigs, including one in Salem this October that will be awesome– stay tuned for details, but it may include a little old-school reunionizing. I’m also getting ready to switch over from solo-geek mode to serious-band mode.
I want to know where my short-term memory went. I mean, I just had it, right here, now I can’t remember what I did with it.
