ok, so this is kinda weird, but i’m going to do it anyway. i finished this cd a few months back, and there has been pretty good response to it, but i’ve been unable to play a ton of shows to promote it. we’re really excited about the prospect of going to orcas island for our annual island retreat, with the added bonus of getting to play to an essentially captive but entirely friendly audience.
the problem being, circumstances this year have made it very difficult to make the entire trek, and everything it involves. graciously, the organizers of this free festival are paying for our ferry passage to the island (this is a $50 value, it’s not cheap to cross the sound to the san juans). this leaves us with gas money (seriously!), and food money for the time we are away. since i’m not one to just ask for donations, i figured there are a bunch of folks who would like the cd, but can’t make it to one of the remarkably few shows i play.
thus, the sales pitch. visit myspace for audio samples, then come back here and buy a cd to send us to the island! i really don’t have anything else to offer than the cd itself and a witty note enclosed just for you… i mean, i could tattoo your name on my head for all to see and appreciate, and lord knows there’s plenty of open real estate up there, but honestly, i don’t think either of us would be that comfortable with the tattoo plan.
each cd is $10, and shipping is free if you buy more than one (they make great stocking stuffers! it’s not too early you know…). the musical extravaganza that is ‘normal is the new weird’ will delight and amuse you, particularly the ‘ordinary joe’ remix, done by none other than our good friend Chris.
